I HAD HIGH REGARD for Mr. Tarver until he opened his mouth about GOP crossovers. I can understand his point up to a point. I am a Republican and would have voted for him if he had been on the Republican ballot. The crossover did help him and if he ever runs again against anyone other than Marion Williams, he may be glad to have the crossover vote come to his rescue. But he may have lost them now.

IT LOOKS LIKE THE Augusta Focus, I mean The Augusta Chronicle has done it again by endorsing somebody like Ed Tarver over a great man like John Butler. What has Ed Tarver done for this area? I haven't seen any greatness yet. He hasn't done anything for this area or for me. He hasn't put any money in my pocketbook, he's taken it out. Somebody like John Butler will help the people out. John Butler's for the people. Ed Tarver's for the high class, him being an attorney and all.

DON'T YOU THINK it's kind of ironic? California approved gay marriages, and now it's burning like hell.

A RANT TO commissioners of Richmond County. We have the coliseum. We have the bus system. We have libraries. We have the jail, the "Marble Palace," the recreation centers, the proposed new judicial center, the Riverwalk, and now they are considering a trolley line, when people are only going to ride it for the first few months? It's ridiculous. How much more can the taxpayers stand?

I LOVE THE sound liberals make when they whine. It is like the soothing sound of a mosquito, with subtle overtones of an electric string trimmer and melodic low notes of a 1920s canister vacuum cleaner!

MCCAIN IS PRESENTLY visiting Mexico and Colombia holding "trade talks." He's a senator, not the president. He's breaking the law.

IF OBAMA LOVES THE U.S. so much, why did Obama never volunteer to defend us in our military? Where was he when boot camp started? Who was he loyal to then? Himself? Some other country? A bit of both?

A RANT FOR THE LIES that people tell and believe to get their candidate elected, Shame on y'all, God is not pleased!

OBAMA JOINS BUSH in giving tax money to "faith based" outfits. Notice they never say to "churches." But that's what both want because they know that will hook churches on tax money, and soon Christian churches will become their pawns. Both Bush and Obama want to destroy Christianity by controlling it.

BOTH OBAMA'S AND McCain's stated policies will bring the U.S. down to the level of Mexico, thus destroying our liberty along with our economy. Who's behind those nuts? Both want to let in all the illegal aliens who can get here. And that's just the beginning.

IN HIS "PATRIOT" SPEECH, Obama spoke of people's "doubt of who (he) is." Have NO doubts -- he's the enemy, never to be trusted. He puts himself on the same plain as Jefferson and Adams. What gall and arrogance!

WHY DID BUSH WAIT eight years to build a small portion of a border fence, rather than patrol the border diligently and stop ALL? Bush completely ignored the problem and still does when it comes to a solution.

A RANT FOR GEN. Wesley Clark. He should not have made the televised remark that McCain's military service did not qualify him to be president. Did John Kennedy's command of a PT boat or Ronald Reagan's acting in movies make them qualified to be president? No one knew at the time they were elected that they would be two of the best presidents that this country has ever had.

WHERE WAS SEN. Obama when MoveOn.org was assassinating the patriotism of General Petraeus?

I BELIEVE THAT Obama and the Democrats are going to use the same tactics to get elected as the recent elections in Africa.

FIVE YEARS IN IRAQ. Five oil companies now firmly entrenched in Iraq. Shell, BP, Exxon-Mobil, Chevron, and Total. Operation Iraqi Liberation. OIL. Mission accomplished.

A RANT AGAINST the Bush administration and the three things that I'll remember: 9/11, Iraq, and a failed economy.

I THINK BILL CLINTON was the best president since FDR, and Bush is the worst president we have ever had. He has gotten this country in a big, big mess.
